… Only…we should remember the poor…which I also was forward to do.” (Galatians 2:10)
“Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.” (Isaiah 1:17)
The local mission project “Good Samaritan” exist to assist elderly and lonesome people. While a person is young, full of strength and energy, he has a variety of things to fill his time, but when an active life becomes inaccessible: physical, emotional, and medical assistance gains a whole new meaning. Also single people, who have become so by many different means, are in need of a helping hand and listening ear. Therefore the ministry for lonesome, abandoned, orphans, widows, and elders has significant meaning for the church “Good News”. The Lord calls us to “awake the desire to serve our neighbor, to see people in need, and respond to them with the best ability”.
It is through this Project that the Lord gives us the opportunity to practice and participate in the needs of people.
